In the main roads animals were found to be roaming here and there. This had lead to many accidents and these animals causing many disturbances to the public. Hence the Municipality had passed a rule that from Monday onwards, the owners of the cows and buffaloes should not allow them to roam about on the main roads of Avadi. If they fails to follow this rule, they are supposed pay a fine of about Rupees two hundred and if they continue for the second the second time their animals will be handed over to the Blue Cross.
